Best Uses of a Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit at Flower and Garden

Grilled Warm Lobster

I loved this so much more than I thought I would – it is grilled in front of you, and is a pretty decent portion of lobster. The key lime sauce and charred lemon are excellent.

Description: with Key lime butter

Location: Florida Fresh

Price without Dining Plan: $11.25 (“Gain” +$5.25)

Rating: 9/10

Tamale de Rajas

Such light flavors in a tamale, it’s not spicy, but the sauce was delightful, flavorful, and creamy, and the cheese inside was wonderful.

Description: Poblano peppers, corn, and cheese in masa topped with poblano cream sauce, crema mexicana, pickled carrots and onions with chives

Location: Jardin de Fiestas (Mexico)

Price without Dining Plan: $8.75 (“Gain” +$2.75)

Rating: 9/10

Veal Tenderloin

This was salty – and so am I because this replaced my beloved Bison Ribeye. However, I did enjoy the perfect forkful of everything. My only other note is that the risotto was undercooked.

Description: with spring pea risotto featuring BEN’S ORIGINAL INTERNATIONAL GRAINS Arborio Rice and red wine syrup

Location: Farmers Feast

Price without Dining Plan: $8.50 (“Gain” +$2.50)

Rating: 7/10

Ramen Cup

To be honest, I don’t know if I love this or hate this, and it has mixed opinions from the group – but it is cold and refreshing!

Description: Ramen salad shaken in a cup with fresh vegetables, grilled chicken, and dashi broth with chili oil and yuzu

Location: Hanami (Japan)

Price without Dining Plan: $8.50 (“Gain” +$2.50)

Rating: 6/10

Sope de Chilorio

The flavors in this dish are outstanding. I wasn’t a fan of the shell as it was just soggy.

Description: Guajillo pepper-braised pork on fried corn shells with black beans, shredded cabbage, crema Mexicana, queso fresco, and chives

Location: Jardin de Fiestas (Mexico)

Price without Dining Plan: $8.50 (“Gain” +$2.50)

Rating: 7/10

Steam Bun

The plant-based soy meat is a skip for me; overall, I am not a fan of the texture.

Description: filled with vegetables and plant-based soy meat

Location: Hanami (Japan)

Price without Dining Plan: $8.50 (“Gain” +$2.50)

Rating: 3/10

Spicy Hot Dog

This dog is SPICY, so you have been warned. The flavors are great together, a little less pineapple would have been better, and the bun is awful, so we brought our own – but get a fork and knife.

Description: with pineapple chutney and plantain chips

Location: Pineapple Promenade

Price without Dining Plan: $8.00 (“Gain” +$2.00)

Rating: 8/10

Bocconcini

Could you make this at home? Yes. Is it over priced for 4 small balls of mozzarella? Yes. But is the pesto delicious? Also, yes.

Description: Mozzarella bocconcini, grape tomatoes, and pesto sauce

Location: Primavera Kitchen (Italy)

Price without Dining Plan: $7.50 (“Gain” +$1.50)

Rating: 7/10
